Our Story Through the Years

What began as a vision has grown into a place dedicated to health and well-being.
The original idea was to create a retreat in Bad Griesbach where guests could benefit from the soothing and health-enhancing effects of thermal water. This vision was brought to life by Alois Hartl, who transformed inspiration into action.

In the 1970s, drilling operations carried out by his company led to the development of
three thermal springs in Bad Griesbach, laying the foundation for the region’s reputation
as a center of thermal wellness.

On July 1, 1984, the Parkhotel Bad Griesbach opened its doors in the heart of the Rottal Valley. From the very beginning, health has been a central focus. The hotel has its own thermal spring with valuable thermal-mineral healing water, available exclusively to hotel guests, along with doctors and therapists on site.

Today, the Parkhotel Bad Griesbach is a 4-Star Superior Comfort Hotel. Continuous renovations and thoughtful development have shaped it into a highly regarded wellness and health hotel, combining tradition with modern comfort and a lasting commitment to guest well-being.
